Jablonec – Liberec tram riding in winter -cabview 2

Tram enthusiast amateur clip filmed in February 2009. Cabview on tram track between Jablonec and Liberec in Czech Republic and tram enthusiasts having a chat with happy tram driver (It is a pity you don´t understand Czech language) Having a chat about narrow gauge, history of trams in Liberec, deleted tram tracks and about profession of tram driver. Předchozí část (Previous part): www.youtube.com Jablonec nad Nisou is city with population about 50 thousand people. Liberec is located near and it has population 100 thousand people. Both cities are situated in northern part of Czech Republic in Central Europe. Jablonec nad Nisou is connected with Liberec by 12 km long tram track which is the last narrow gauge single railed tram track in Czech Republic. It was opened in 1955. Jablonec had it´s own tram system but it was deleted in 1969. Part by part of track were reconstructed in 70s and 80s. There were built more turnouts so trams can operate in frequency of 6 minutes. Average 11 thousand passengers use tram track daily. There were plans to rebuild track to double rail and normal gauge 1435mm many times. Track is in section between stops U lomu Nová Ruda prepared to be double rail. Even there is plan to connect tram system to railway (Regiotram Nisa Project).
